This Week

TEAM,

From here on out this week is going to be very busy. We have a meet everyday that we are either competing in or hosting.

Wednesday:
We are travelling to North Ogden for a dual meet with Weber High. I expect some high level competition, the are a deep TEAM like us and will be plenty of competition. Remember, if you haven't been able to compete at the invitationals this is your chance to earn those spots. We will be excused at lunch to get ready for the meet. The buses will leave at 1:00, the meet starts at 3:00. Sorry we have to leave so early, but since we are leaving the district we have to leave early so that the buses can get back to do their routes. It should be cloudy and in the 50's tomorrow, so dress accordingly. Note that the 3200 is the first event. Boys and girls will run together. Also, the Weber throwers challenged our throwers to a throwers 4x100...

Thursday:
We are hosting a Jr. High meet. We will spend the first half of class setting up for the meet and handing out assignments for the meet. You must help out with the meet. I know that they are not the funnest meets to work but they are important. Many of these kids really look up to you and this is a chance for you to recruit the next generation of Darts. The Jr. High kids should be showing up around 3:00.

The Pole Vault for the Woods Cross Invite will be held during the Jr. High meet.



Friday:
We will post the meet entries for Woods Cross tomorrow on the blog. If you cannot compete let me know so that I can fill your spot. We only get 56 entries for the meet so those spots are precious. You will be excused from class at 12:30 and the bus will leave at 1:00. We will be stuck at the school for a few hours before the meet starts unfortunately. This is just another busing issue we have to deal with every year. The weather should be cloudy and in the 60's.

Saturday:

For those that do not get into the Woods Cross Meet you can compete in the Morgan Invitational. This is also a state qualifying meet and has a lot of good competition and is a fun meet to compete in. We have 5 entries available for each event and I'd love to use as many as possible. (If you compete at Woods Cross you CANNOT compete at Morgan or you will be in danger of going over the number of allowable meets in a season. Since this was a last minute addition to the schedule we will not have a bus available for this meet so you will need to travel to the meet with a parent. If you want to compete you just need to let your event coach know and they will enter you in the meet.

*All running events will go girls first    then boys. *5 participants per event and 1 relay from each school per event.	We will measure at least one mark if it is close to the mark.

   Each athlete is allowed only 4 events.
