Davis Track Update - April 9

Darts -
We are moving into the middle stretch of the season. These next 3 weeks are extremely crucial for us every year. It is the time of the season where it takes some extra motivation and some extra determination and focus in order to get to where we want to be when we get ready for the region and state championships. I couldn't be happier about how the first 5 weeks of the season went. We saw a lot of success and we have seen some incredible performances and improvements. We are still looking for athletes to step up and have those breakthrough performances that will inspire and help the TEAM. The remainder of the season will go by very quickly, and I would encourage each of you to take full advantage of your opportunity to be a part of this great program. I know that some of you are not yet where you want to be - keep at it. Stay positive and keep going after your very best.

This past week some members of the Davis TEAM traveled to California for the prestigious Arcadia Invitational. It was quite possibly our most successful trip to the Invite. We came home with a lot of great memories and some very strong PRs and even some national rankings. The Davis high Results from the meet are at the bottom of this email. Thanks to all the parents and athletes who helped to make it a great trip. It showed that we truly have one of the top programs in the U.S. Our TEAM was very well represented.

Coming Up:
Tomorrow (Tuesday) - TEAM pictures. Bring your uniforms. We will meet in the bleachers for TEAM pics at 2:45 (in between the class workout and the after school workout). You just need your uniforms, not your warm ups.

Wednesday (4/11) - Track meet at Weber High. The meet will begin at 3:00. We will be excused at 1:15 and the buses will leave at 1:30.

Wednesday (4/18) - Home track meet against Layton High.

Friday (4/20) - Woods Cross Invitational

Wednesday (4/25) - Track meet at Northridge High

Saturday (4/28) - Davis Invitational

Davis Invite Sponsors - Thanks to those who have already sponsored an event for the Davis Invite. I am asking each of you athletes to please attempt finding a sponsor for the meet. I will have sponsor papers with me every day at practice this week and next week.

Uniforms - If there are any of you who have a uniform who are no longer participating, could you please return your uniform to me at any point. Thanks.
